Pengaruh Bullying Terhadap Loneliness pada Remaja: Meta-Analisis

Latar Belakang: Bullying adalah fenomena kompleks dan multidimensional yang ditandai dengan perilaku agresif berulang yang bertujuan untuk menyakiti atau mengganggu individu yang kesulitan untuk membela diri. Telah banyak didokumentasikan bahwa bullying berdampak signifikan pada kesehatan mental dan emosional korban, seringkali menyebabkan perasaan loneliness (kesepian) yang mendalam. Meta-analisis ini bertujuan untuk mengukur hubungan antara bullying dan loneliness kalangan remaja di berbagai negara serta mengevaluasi potensi bias publikasi dalam penelitian yang ada.
Metode: Meta-analisis dilakukan pada lima studi yang dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi spesifik, termasuk desain observasional dan ketersediaan teks lengkap. Data dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak RevMan, dengan menerapkan model efek acak karena heterogenitas yang signifikan di antara studi (I² = 89%). Hasil utama yang diukur adalah rasio peluang yang disesuaikan (aOR) untuk hubungan antara bullying dan loneliness.
Hasil: Meta-analisis menunjukkan bahwa bullying secara signifikan meningkatkan risiko kesepian di kalangan remaja, dengan rasio odds yang disesuaikan sebesar 1,92 (95% CI = 1,49 hingga 2,49, p < 0,001). Namun, diagram funnel menunjukkan potensi bias publikasi, menyarankan bahwa hubungan antara bullying dan loneliness mungkin terlalu dibesar-besarkan.
Kesimpulan: Temuan ini menyoroti dampak mendalam bulying terhadap loneliness pada remaja dan menekankan pentingnya pelaporan komprehensif dalam penelitian untuk mengurangi bias publikasi. Pemahaman yang lebih jelas tentang hubungan ini akan mendukung strategi yang lebih efektif untuk mengurangi dampak negatif kesehatan mental yang terkait dengan bullying.
